Vision
Building a Better Community
As a proud native of Southeast San Diego, I, Carrin Michael Johnson, am deeply committed to serving our community. With a successful business and a Navy retirement, my motivation to run for District 4 Council Member in 2026 stems from a genuine desire to amplify the voices of our residents.

Community Engagement
I believe in the power of listening. Attending planning meetings and community outreach is my focus to understand the needs of our people. I aim to ensure community input directly shapes our policies and initiatives.

Infrastructure and Public Services
Improving our neighborhood's infrastructure is a top priority. I am dedicated to enhancing public services to meet the unique needs of District 4 residents.

Economic Development
Supporting local businesses and fostering economic growth are essential for our community's prosperity. I plan to implement programs encouraging entrepreneurship and providing resources for small businesses.

Environmental Sustainability
Protecting our environment is crucial. I will advocate for sustainable practices and policies that preserve our natural resources for future generations.

Public Safety
Ensuring the safety of our community is paramount. I will work closely with law enforcement and community organizations to develop strategies that promote public safety and trust.

Health and Education
Access to quality health and education services is vital. I am committed to collaborating with local health providers and educational institutions to enhance these services within our district.

Housing and Homelessness
In San Diego we are not effectively addressing housing affordability and homelessness. We requires compassionate and effective solutions. I will work towards providing affordable housing options and support services for those in need.

Culture and Recreation
Enriching our community's cultural and recreational opportunities enhances our quality of life. I plan to support arts programs and develop recreational facilities that reflect our district's diversity.

My campaign is not about personal gain, I am not looking to climb the political ladder, this is about serving the community that has given me so much. Together, we can create a District 4 that reflects our collective aspirations and values.
